Inaugural News -- Ice Shuts Down Ferry!

Hey Fellow Chappy Folks,
I just started this blog so we could figure out what the status of the ferry is without driving all the way down there.
On the next posted message, I will give you the login info so any of us can add the latest word to this forum.

As far as the Comm Center knows, as of 3:00 PM today, Thursday Jan. 27th, the ferry has not been operating since early this morning because of ice in the channel.

Please think about how we can best share info here. My original idea thios morning was to create a website which would post text messages about ferry status that the captains could send from their cell phones. I'm still working on that goal. Let me know if you have any ideas about specific tools that would make that happen.
